Props, Props, ya don’t Stop!!

Going over the ever growing prop list recently for this Alice in Wonderland project, I thought it might be fun for all of you to take a gander at some of the cool and interesting things that are making this venture truly unique.  First up is a stunning pocket watch for none other than the white rabbit.  I wanted something that was going to be intricate and detailed, while at the same time had a sort of a steam punk feel to it.  I found this beauty on  Etsy.com from a very talented watch maker, Tempus Fugit.  For those of you who might not be aware, Etsy is a fantastic site where artisans from all over the world can post their wares- it’s kinda like ebay for crafters.  I am finding the majority of my stuff for this project on the site, which is working out splendidly!

Next up is the actual mask for the white rabbit character, which was crafted by the amazing Tom Banwell.  Kinda creepy isn’t it?

These are some of the background pieces that will be composited into a few different scenes as monuments to former royalty of Wonderland.  In reality they are nothing more than beautifully crafted porcelain chess pieces from Flowering Ceramics.

And finally, my favorite piece so far, a custom made riders jacket for none other than the mad hatter.  This piece is really something special and I can’t thank Marie Curious enough for the time and attention to detail she put into it!

I’m so excited for all of you to see the finished series, things are getting curiouser and curiouser!!!
